Every child and young person has the right to safety, dignity and protection from abuse, exploitation and neglect. Chalan Foundation’s safeguarding commitment applies to staff, volunteers, consultants, partners and others engaging with children through our work.
Our policy sets expectations for conduct, prevention, reporting and response. It places the child’s interests at the centre of decisions and requires concerns to be treated seriously and handled with care.
If you have a safeguarding concern connected to Chalan’s work, report it to the designated Child Protection Officer or a supervisor. Information should be shared only with those who need it to respond appropriately.
