Creativity, digital skills and practical innovation.
Chalan Foundation’s STEAM Education programme is designed to expand practical learning in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, particularly in public day secondary schools. It connects curiosity and creativity with digital fluency, teamwork, experimentation and problem-solving, helping learners explore future learning and career pathways.
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
STEAM Clubs create opportunities for learners to investigate questions, collaborate on projects and apply classroom knowledge. Smart Hubs are designed to expand access to digital tools and guided practical learning.
Our model includes coding, robotics, artificial intelligence awareness, design thinking and digital innovation. Makeathons, hackathons and other challenges give learners opportunities to test ideas, learn from setbacks and develop practical solutions.
Teacher development is central to this approach. The model supports educators to use digital tools, facilitate practical learning and encourage inclusive participation. Career exposure and industry mentorship help learners connect their interests with further education, skills training and work.
